A few days ago I had the great plesure of giving a start-of-semester talk in font of all of the photojournalism students at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
I haven't been back there since graduation in 2010, so that was a fun way to return. After talking for a while we move to an improvised studio and I made a few plates to demonstrate the process.
I have to recognize the courage of my former teachers to invite a wet plate photographer to give a talk in front of 40-50 photojournalism students. That could have gone both ways, I recon.
I'm really excited about the positive feedback (and secretly excited that everthing worked, as I drow four hours across the country and was slightly paranoid about forgetting something vital to the whole show).
